The different colour varities of L. camara were tested for its toxicity against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus. Well diffusion method was used to determine the activity of this plant. Methanolic extracts of 30 percent concentration of dried leaves powder was prepared and checked. Wells of 6mm size were made in Mueller-Hinton agar media plate. 100μl extract was transferred into the well. DMSO was used as negative control. Plates were incubated for 24 h and observed size of inhibition. Orange colour variety was found most toxic whereas, white colour variety was found least toxic.
