QUANTUM COMPUTATION: PROSPECTS AND PROBLEMS

Abstract


It is all about computing using quantum systems and various quantum phenomena will be modeled which is far more efficient than the conventional computing and it originates from quantum mechanics and its logic of operation is quantum based which is fundamentally different from classical Boolean logic. Quantum computation utilizes unique quantum features such as quantum coherence, superposition, randomness, quantum entanglement etc. Some of the advantages of quantum effect in computing are Shor‘s algorithm for factoring larger integer, Grover’s algorithms for search unsorted database with polynomial advantage over its classical counterpart.
