Inspection of wall thickness of pipes in petrochemical plants through WSN

Vimal Upadhyay, Shuchi Sharma, Dr Sonali Agrawal

The health monitoring and conditions detection techniques for the petrochemical and gas plants are considered as a primer attention in the present era in term of safety measure, environmental protection and pollution mastery. It is obvious that the hazardous accidents at the processing plants claim human casualties and loss of valuable resources. So, the monitoring and controlling techniques for the plants are concerned for higher research perspective not only to minimize the fatality rate but also used to improve the production system with minimal loses. The aim of condition monitoring is to detect defects in pipes which indicate the pipe failure. The objectives of Task are to comprehensively review pipe condition and to measure pipe wall thickness.
